SIRCIW Fellowship Programme

the SIRCIW Fellowship programme is a postdoctoral fellowship scheme part funded by the European Commission under Horizon 2020's Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions COFUND scheme. The programme will support up to 90 fellows to work in Wales.

The Atomic, Molecular and Quantum Physics (AMQP<http://www.swansea.ac.uk/physics/researchgroups/atomicmolecularandquantumphysicsgroup/>) Group at the Department of Physics of Swansea University invites candidates to contact them to express their interest in applying.

Note the following eligibility requirements:

- Applicants must be Experienced Researchers: in possession of a doctoral degree (or have at least four years of full time equivalent research
experience) plus approximately 3 - 5 years postdoctoral research experience.

- There are no nationality restrictions, but applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies etc.) in the UK for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission.

- A fellowship will normally be for 3 years. It is hoped that subject to satisfactory performance the post will be made permanent at the end of the fellowship.

Swansea Physics hosts two strong research groupings in the fields of Atomic, Molecular and Quantum Physics (AMQP<http://www.swansea.ac.uk/physics/researchgroups/atomicmolecularandquantumphysicsgroup/>) and Particle Physics Theory (PPT<http://www.swansea.ac.uk/physics/researchgroups/particlephysicstheorygroup/>).

Research of the AMQP group currently covers theoretical and experimental research ranging from antihydrogen, positronium and positron studies, the cryo-EDM experiment, quantum control, quantum information processing, cold atom physics, nano-scale physics and the life sciences, analytical laser spectroscopy to ultrafast dynamics, imaging and microscopy.

Applicants with considerable expertise in one of these or related fields are encouraged to apply.

To express your interest please contact me (markus.muller@swansea.ac.uk<mailto:markus.muller@swansea.ac.uk>) or any other member of the AMQP<http://www.swansea.ac.uk/physics/researchgroups/atomicmolecularandquantumphysicsgroup/> group.

The deadline for expressing interest is December 16, 2015.
