Fifth QUAINT Workshop on Quantum Control, Devices and Applications

The workshop will bring together experts, early stage researchers and industry, fostering discussions and exchanges on quantum control. There will be tutorials, invited and contributed talks, a poster session and an industry session. It will cover broad topics in quantum control and technology, theory, foundations and applications from spectroscopy (NMR, ESR, LASER) and medical imaging to quantum devices (superconductor, semiconductor, graphene) and spintronics.

Dates: 1st-3rd (Wed-Fri) July 2015 with tutorials on Tuesday, 30th of June and time for informal discussions on Saturday, 4th of July. See programme for details.

Tutorials on Tuesday will take place at Swansea University (details to follow).

Rooms have been reserved at the Marriott Hotel in Swansea.  Please book directly with the hotel, http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/swsdt-swansea-marriott-hotel/, quoting the code B1XB1XA to get the conference rate.  The site is walking distance from the train and bus station, Tesco supermarket, several museums, two theatres, etc. There are also other accommodation options nearby.

Everyone regsitered will be invoiced for the total conference fee shortly after the registration deadline with the options to pay by any major credit card or EU bank transfer online or on site during registration.

Transport: Swansea is easily accessible by road via the M4 from London, train or coach.  The closest airports are Cardiff (40m), Bristol (70m), London Heathrow (130m) and Birmingham (150m). The conferece venue in Swansea is close to the train and bus station. Generally train tickets are available in advance from and to all destinations from the trainline.
